I just wanted to show that making these gorgeous paper kusadama flower in traditional Christmas colours is another way to make some original Christmas decorations
Paper Christmas wreath
I just love a Christmas wreath, nothing says a tradition like a wreath.
But me being the crafty bitch i want to make a paper one and use some of the lovely chrismassy paper that i recently bought.
Cut out a card circle and lots of different left shapes
Stick the leaves down and over lap the leaves
until you have gone all the way around.
Add some ribbon and hang on an inside door.
It looks fabulous and christmassy!

Handmade coaster
These are really easy to make and are just the ticket for putting your own mark on a gift for a loved one.
I love the idea of handmade gifts but have only made a few over he years.
You will need squares of wood, hard board or cork.
pretty paper of your choice
glue
waterproof sealer,varnish.
Sand the edges of the square if using wood, i rounded off the corners to make them look more professional
cut you paper to the shape of the coater apply glue and smooth paper on from one side smoothing out any creases and air bubbles.
Leave to dry then apply the sealer or vanish and leave to dry thoroughly.
There you have it a fabulous handmade gift.

Bird house craft
Paper bird house.
You will need,
scissors, glue, ruler, wall paper samples or pretty paper
and some card to make the template base.
The template size is pretty much each square 5cm x 5cm, 1cm for the glue tabs and 2cm height for the triangle on top of the squares ( hope that makes sense!)
Fold along the drawn lines and Cut a hole in one of the sides which will make the font of the bird house.
I then cut out wallpaper to the size of each side of the bird house and glue them on then glued together.
You then need to cut out a rectangle of card for the roof. If you make it 1 1/2cm longer and wider than dimensions of the squares, so this is 5cmx5cm so do the roof 13cm x 8cm.
I just cut out a simple bird shape and put a hole in it, then pop a hole in the bird house under the larger hole that you cut out earlier for the opening.
Role up a piece of card and put this through the bird and then in to the bird house.
Enjoy making I did!!
recycled fruit pickers basket
Fruit Basket.
Strawberry picking in summer, now a tradition in my family.
But once the succulent strawberries have been devoured what to do with the basket?
Well I could just let this go to waste, so a recycle craft it had to be.
So here is my fruit basket, Pretty paper, flowers and butterflies (my favourite crafting accessory at the moment!), and ribbon.

Boys bedroom decoration ideas.
Dylan and Ollie's new room.
I have redecorated the walls and redone a mural on their wall using tester pots of lovely bright colours.
A tin of blackboard paint I had left over from another project was ideal for the road.
The vehicles were from a piece of wall paper that I got for free from a hardware store, You can do it if you...you know the rest!
I injected a bit of colour in to a set of old ikea draws by paint the fronts with the tester pots I used on the mural, pretty effective even if I do say so myself. The shelves are also a ikea special that we already had in the room.
The carpet is one of my favourite things in the room, fabulous colours.
These round shelves were a great find by my husband from work.
They were inners left over from some cable I think. I painted them with poster paint for Dylan's nursery. That was 4 years ago and they are still going strong.
Beautiful wooden toys in fabulous bright colours, so pleasing to the eye.
I have wanted to make a rainbow rain cloud ever since seeing them. I love the rainbow rain drops!
The recycled ikea curtain that I dyed with a left over pack I had again from another project.
The patches are something I bought from eBay a while ago, I was waiting for a good craft project to use them on. I think this was it.
How to shabby chic
Shabby chic wooden chair.
After the candle sticks and the bedside table I decided my next project would be an old chair that was my mums.

After sanding down the chair I gave it 2 to 3 coats of white paint.

When the paint had dried I painted over with a mixture of white paint and burnt umber to give it an extra dimension, it took the edge off the stark white of the paint and gave it that old kinda look.
I sanded the edges and anywhere that would get naturally worn.
Finished off with a new seat pad and bargain basket fabric that cost me £2.50.
